Testimonials

I was referred to Kim and truthfully, it was by far the most spot-on referral I could have ever received. If you were to specifically define a best friend who guides you through how to live your healthiest life, you would land on Kim’s name. She always makes you feel comfortable, welcome and totally at-home (yes, even through virtual meetings!). I have walked away from every session feeling empowered — even if that is only by 1% more than when I walked in. My personal journey with therapy is only 8 months long so far but I’ve whole-heartedly felt a resounding difference in who I am thanks to Kim.
We can’t say enough about our experience with Kim. We came to Kim when our 11-year-old was dealing with debilitating anxiety. It was consuming her life(and ours). We felt helpless as parents. Our daughter was struggling engaging in her daily life- activities, sports, going to any social events and school. After our first meeting with Kim, a noticeable weight had lifted in our daughter, she literally was skipping out of her first session saying how much she loved it. Kim was warm and caring but more than that she was able to connect with our daughter. She gave her hope and the confidence that she could conquer what she was facing. Kim is helping our daughter develop and use tools to deal with her anxiety. She is teaching her that she is bigger than this struggle. After yesterday’s session our daughter said, “I don’t know how I’d be doing right now if it wasn’t for Kim.
Hard to say enough great things about Kim - but here goes.. I went with a specific challenge for her and she was patient with me, understood me - had my back - took my side - made me learn to set my priorities, take a moment to reflect and stand up for myself and hold others accountable. She really took the time to get to know not only me but details about my family, husband and friends - all players in the puzzle. She remembers details and will reference what you told her during your future sessions to grow on each visit. Her questions are on point and got me thinking clearly. Kim is a great listener - I’m thankful to have her to listen to my world from an outside perspective and see me for me in judgment free zone.
I came to Kim Fournier just a few months into my postpartum journey. I’ve never been good at asking for help, but Kim made it easy for me to ask her, even though I wasn’t sure what that looked like or how to navigate it. Through her compassionate and extremely knowledgable support, we’ve worked through countless components of life from postpartum depression and anxiety, to childhood trauma, to self worth, obsessive compulsive tendencies, family and marital dynamics, and general life obstacles. Her approach is always proactive which has resulted in strategies that positively impact my day to day life. Therapy with Kim continues to fill a void in my life with support that helps me learn, grow, and thrive. She’s been an instrumental piece of my best self puzzle.
I’ve thought long & hard about how how to write a testimonial for Kim & I’m still not sure I can accurately put into words my true feelings about her & her practice. I’ve been seeing Kim for more than a year & in that time she’s encouraged me, inspired me & supported me on my path to reach my personal goals in so many areas. She’s helped me improve my mental health, physical health, relationships at home & at work. She’s helped me through challenges as a parent & in all sorts of situations. I could go on and on about how wonderful my time with her has been but the only way for you to truly know is to meet her & experience her kindness, professionalism & expertise yourself.
I have seen therapists on and off for my entire adult life liking some and not others. When I was going through something particularly painful and my therapist at the time was diagnosed with cancer and had to leave her practice, I wrestled with finding someone else. I did a quick search on psychology today where I found Kim’s smiling face radiating a peaceful glow. It also peaked my interest that she has experience with children as I am a mother of three. I was excited to learn she was taking new patients and she got back to me. I was pretty guarded our first session having had so many “firsts” with therapists and trying to feel out if I will be able to be completely honest. Kim made me feel comfortable and I didn’t feel a shred of judgement as I explained why I was there. Even in that very first visit she shared some observations that no other therapist had ever pointed out to me. She immediately won my trust. She listens with care and remembers things I have said which is so helpful in navigating my therapy. 4 years later and I don’t know where I’d be without her! She is hands down the best therapist I have ever seen.
I feel so lucky to have found Kim! She makes you feel understood and comfortable to open up to. She is compassionate, kind, and caring and I looked forward to meeting with her each week. Kim always had great suggestions and advice for issues I was working on. She would check in on me even on weeks I wasn’t meeting with her. I loved how I could reach out to her at anytime if I needed to talk to her and she continuously went out of her way to support me in anything that I may of needed during my time with her. I would refer anyone that I know to Kim as she is truly an amazing therapist!
Kim embodies such calm and authenticity that I can’t help but breathe a sigh of relief in her presence (IRL or virtually) and leave with more bounce in my step! She is the skillful, compassionate Jedi you want in your corner.
